After completing my Ph.D. in 2012, which focused on the impact of culture on identity development, I joined the teaching field where I worked as an English instructor for over 20 years, including 14 years in Kuwait University. Although still actively involved in the academic field, I sought to play a greater role in women’s empowerment over the past seven years -through teaching women physical self-defense, running empowerment-related seminars, and leading journaling workshops.
