“When a person realizes he has been deeply heard, his eyes moisten. I think in some real sense he is weeping for joy. It is as though he were saying, “Thank God, someone knows what it’s like to be me””. – Carl. R. Rogers.

I believe active listening is the true gateway to openness and trust between the therapist and the client, therapy is not a matter of nodding, but rather a genuine, compassionate engagement with the client’s story.

My core belief is that everyone is capable of overcoming their struggles if they find an honest, non-judgemental listening ear to their thoughts, based on client-centered therapy, and so it is important for me to build a shared sense of ownership to the treatment process with the client and empower them with the suitable coping mechanisms, tools, skills, and mindset.

I have a special interest in couples and family therapy, more specifically, emotion-focused therapy which considers attachment theory as a solid base for the treatment. I work with clients struggling with social anxiety, family conflicts, self-esteem issues, emotional awareness and regulation, emotional and physical abuse within women and teenagers.

Going through therapy is just like any other healing process, it can be uncomfortable at the beginning, but sure will be freeing and liberating at the end.
