Trish Bedford is a licensed art therapist in Qatar and the UK with over 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Trish developed the first art therapy program in Qatar at a speciality addiction hospital for four years and the first art therapy museum and gallery visits with patients in Qatar. Her program was effective in creating engagement, increasing confidence, reducing stigma and helping connect with the community. She has been actively involved with Qatar Red Crescent and was a psychosocial adviser for Idlib-Syria. Trish was also one of the volunteers actively supporting the unaccompanied Afghan refugee minors who arrived in Qatar, facilitating therapeutic art and art activity groups.
Her speciality and areas of interest cover autism, ADHD, addictions, trauma, and expat/third culture/life transitions. Trish is passionate about ethically developing art therapy in Qatar and globally. She is expanding her work with the community to increase awareness about how creative and expressive arts can help improve and sustain wellness.
