Rita is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist licensed by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon. She provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT and interpersonal therapy IPT for Adults diagnosed with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse and other. She also has several years of experience working with individuals from different age groups and diverse backgrounds (including residents and refugees). Rita is also a Master trainer and supervisor in Problem Management Plus PM+, a brief psychological intervention recently developed by the World Health Organization.
Rita has undergone a two-year clinical training program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center AUBMC during which she specialized in adult psychotherapy after having earned a masters in clinical psychology. Rita received trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute and training in Interpersonal Therapy from Columbia University and attended several other trainings and workshops related to mental health and psychotherapy.
Rita believes that the greatest achievement in life is to be able to alleviate other people’s suffering. Thus, she has a strong passion for her job through which she can make a positive impact on people’s life.
