Yasmina is a Psychology Graduate and a Counselling Psychologist in Doctoral Training. She is currently undertaking her professional Doctorate (DCPsych) at Middlesex University, London. Prior to this Yasmina completed a certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy skills at the Existential Academy and received her BSc (HON) in Psychology from Regent’s University London. She is also a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Yasmina’s doctoral training specialises in Existential Psychotherapy. The Existential Approach is a philosophical method for dealing with problems in living while aiding the client in understanding their position in the world and exploring shared universals by all human beings, such as anxiety, loneliness, isolation, and meaninglessness. The approach avoids reducing the individual by categorising or labelling them; instead, the clients’ subjective experience of existence is of utmost regard. The past, present and future are considered in the existential approach.
