Her areas of focus include, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress management, relationship issues, eating disorders, behavioural issues in adolescents among others. In her work with adolescents, Arpita involves parents and/or other significant adults in the therapeutic process to ensure that a collaborative approach is adopted in working towards a sustainable change, not only by helping the adolescent, but by focusing on creating healthy communication patterns within the family.

The therapeutic relationship between a client and the therapist is key to the success of therapy. Arpita’s approach is focused on building a trusting relationship, creating a safe space to effectively assess the needs of her clients and helping them learn specific skills to manage their issues. The goal is to help clients feel empowered as the therapy progresses.
