Dr. Mariam Alammadi (Founder of CFC)

Biography:
Dr. Mariam Alammadi is a Licensed Psychologist that has been working in the mental health sector for the last eleven years. She is the Founder of award winning practice The Child & Family Foundation Center.

Qualifications: 
P. Doc in Global Leadership & Management
MSc in Applied Psychology
BSc (Honors) in Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society
Diploma in Clinical Psychotherapy

Recognition:
Mariam was elected as a committee member of the Middle Eastern Psychological Association (MEPA) in 2017 and re-elected in 2019 and is currently serving as the first Director of the Bahraini Chapter.  Mariam founded Afkarech Female Network and Think Tank in 2017. She was awarded the “Smart Healthcare Leaders Award” in recognition of her contribution to Psychology in November 2018. Mariam founded the Mental Wealth Bahrain campaign in 2018 to help those who did not have the funds to gain access to therapy. In March 2019 Mariam won the “Bahrain Women Achiever’s Award 2019” from the Royal Hospital for Women & Children. Mariam received an IFAH Award in 2020 for her work in Mental Health. She was selected as Vestire Women of 2020 and subsequently as one of Bahrain’s Most Influential Women of 2020. Mariam was selected for the prestigious IVLP in 2012 and again in 2021.

Goals:
One of Mariam’s goals is spreading the message of breaking the stigma of mental health in the MENA region."
