I believe that every person carries a story that deserves to be met with care, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgment. Sometimes life experiences, relationships, trauma, stress, or the pace of the world around us can disconnect us from ourselves - from our emotions, bodies, sense of meaning, or ability to feel safe. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and sustainable.
I am currently a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University New England, holding a BA in Psychology and an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am also a member of the Kuwait Psychological Association (KPA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). My work is deeply informed by trauma-informed, somatic, systemic, and integrative approaches to mental health and emotional wellbeing. I draw from psychoeducation, nervous system regulation, attachment theory, mind-body approaches, parts work, guided imagery, and relational approaches while always honoring the individuality of each person I work with.
I have a particular interest in trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, eating disorders, identity, self-worth, burnout, and the connection between the mind and body. I also care deeply about culturally responsive and emotionally attuned care, especially in spaces where people may have felt misunderstood, silenced, or emotionally alone. I believe healing is not only about reducing symptoms, but also about helping people feel more connected to themselves, their emotions, relationships, values, and capacity to move through life with greater safety and flexibility.
In our work together, we may explore patterns that repeat emotionally, relationally, or physically; the ways stress and life experiences can live in the body; and the protective strategies that may once have helped you survive but no longer serve you in the same way. Together we create space for understanding, emotional processing, self-compassion, and building tools that support regulation and resilience.
I value creating a therapeutic space that feels human, collaborative, and emotionally safe. While healing can sometimes involve grief, discomfort, or uncertainty, I also believe there can be moments of lightness, curiosity, humor, and meaningful connection throughout the process. My hope is that the people I work with leave feeling more empowered to understand themselves, trust themselves, and move through life with greater authenticity and self-awareness.
